Kurt Gerber, General Contractor, Owner since 2000

After a decade as a general contractor, Kurt began to notice a significant shift in the needs of his clients. In 2009, homeowners were not merely asking for cosmetic updates; they were inquiring about how to stay in the homes they loved as their requirements evolved. Families were looking for safer bathrooms, and homeowners wanted to avoid stairs. Clients sought practical solutions through accessible home modifications that would enable them to live independently and confidently for as long as possible. This growing demand inspired Kurt to become a Certified Aging in Place Specialist in 2009. He understood that aging in place encompasses more than just construction; it involves dignity, safety, and peace of mind. With the right modifications, a home can adapt to its owner instead of forcing the owner to adapt to the home. Today, as a Northern Ohio contractor, Kurt combines decades of construction experience with specialized aging-in-place training to assist clients in remaining in their homes longer, safer, and more comfortably. Every project is designed with long-term livability in mind because staying at home is not just a preference—it often represents what matters most. Accessible Home Pro proudly serves Northern Ohio.
